This long and beautiful 12.4 km walk starts at the Sart-Dames-Avelines Sports Centre and leads through a wide variety of areas: woods, little-used paths, fields… This walk offers also a magnificent viewpoint at the « Arbre de la Bruyère », the highest point in the commune of Marbais and a former landmark of the resistance for parachute drops. You will aslo discover numerous farms such as: the « Bois de Bordeau » farm dating from the middle of the 14th century and acquired by Afflighem Abbey at the dawn of the 16th century, and the « La Bruyère » farm dating from the 13th century and fitted with an remarkable entrance porch.
