Installed in the former municipal school of Glabais, the Maison de l’Histoire et du Patrimoine (House of History and Heritage) aims to preserve the memory of events and the history of the inhabitants and institutions of our villages. It houses a historical library specialising in the history of the communes of the Grand Genappe and Walloon Brabant, a genealogy room with almost 7,000 family records and reference works for genealogists, and a room devoted to archaeology and cartography. The History Circle publishes a quarterly magazine « Le Lothier roman », sets up exhibitions, lends objects from its collections and organises conferences.
