Prevailing environment
villages and countryside

Do you know the Grande Randonnée trails, those walking routes with the famous white and red marks?

The same ones that take the most experienced hikers to the mountain slopes in Corsica and the Alps, yes, these paths! Well, they also exist in Belgium. The Pays des 4 Bras is actually crossed by 3 of them! Of course, the Belgian relief is not as steep but don’t worry, our countryside has some nice charms as well…

You will find below the complete itineraries that criss-cross our region:

  • GR 121 via Promelles, Vieux-Genappe, Genappe, Ways, Thy, Bousval
Total distance: 160443 m

  • GR 126 via Bousval, Tangissart, Villers-la-Ville, Mellery, Gentinnes
Total distance: 242118 m

  • GRP 127 via Houtain-le-Val, Loncée, Sart-Dames-Avelines, Villers-la-Ville, Mellery, Haute-Heuval
Total distance: 265939 m
